The vegan pizza is the best in town! Everyone is sweet with beautiful souls. The owners are great! Service with a smile love them! It's a MUST try. So yummy. I've been coming here for a few years now and finally decided to leave a review because they are consistent and always delicious! Thank you for being amazing and make the best vegan pizza.
Diamond Slice in Oakland, California, is nothing short of a revelation for pizza lovers. Located in the vibrant, eclectic heart of the city, this little gem stands out not just for its funky aesthetic but for its dedication to crafting some of the most extraordinary pizzas I've ever tasted. The moment you take your first bite, you know this place is different. I noticed the flavors meshed really well. Let's talk about the ingredients because that's where Diamond Slice truly shines. Every component of their pizza screams quality and freshness. The tomatoes in their sauce taste as though they were plucked from a sun-drenched vine just hours before being transformed into the most vibrant, tangy, and slightly sweet base you could ask for. It's not overly seasoned--just a perfect balance of natural flavors that highlight the tomatoes' Then there are the toppings. From the classic pepperoni to more adventurous options like wild mushrooms or heirloom veggies, every ingredient tastes like it was selected with the utmost care. Their pepperoni slices are crisp at the edges, with just the right amount of spice. The veggies burst with garden-fresh flavor, likely due to their commitment to sourcing organic produce. Each bite is a testament to their dedication to quality and freshness. I believe they use organize ingredients only. But the crust--the crust deserves its own standing ovation. Diamond Slice's crust isn't just a vehicle for the toppings; it's a work of art in itself. It's airy yet chewy, with the perfect char from their oven. You can taste the love that goes into their dough-making process. I travel alot so I come to Oakland often enough to check this spot out again. Parking is a little sketchy honestly.
I came here on Oaktoberfest. We were one of the vendors right in front of the pizza place. The owner gave us a free pizza. Keep in mind I'm not vegetarian, but this is the best vegetarian pizza I've ever had. This was one of their specials which had corn, yellow onions, chile pasilla, mozzarella, feta, cilantro, garlic and lime. I've had a lot of vegetable based pizzas but this blows all the other ones I've had out of the park. The flavor works so well with each other. They also provided us some type of spicy cilantro dipping sauce which was amazing. I kept dipping my pizza in it. I highly recommend this place to anyone that wants to try something new.
Arizmendi/CheeseBoard pizza in the Dimond. Its the best pizza in the East Bay! Daily vegetarian pizzas including gluten free option.
I'm not a vegan or vegetarian but Diamond Pizza has really good pizzas! I like the fact that they have different menus for each day of the week. They do offer gluten free pizzas for anyone who's like that. Overall, if you're in the area, check them out and see what's on the menu for pizza of the day. It's been a while but this is definitely my go-to pizza spot. Vegetarian, BOMB FLAVOR and the customer service is ALWAYS on point. I got to see the beautiful Ms. Gloria again and her lovely Boo who hold things down and are pleasant 100% of the time. Cant get home fast enough to dig in
What a great find! Similar concept to Cheeseboard where they make one type of pizza per day. Mom and I came here yesterday (10/10/2024) and we both got the day's special, which was tomatoes, mozzarella, red onion, garlic, and feta. Love that they gave us extra slivers and green sauce. The green sauce has a kick but less spicy than Cheeseboard's version. Service was friendly and fast. Prices were reasonable. Only negative is that my mom thought the garlic was a bit heavy for her liking. I don't live in the area but I would absolutely be a regular if I did. I can't wait to try their other creations in the future!
Love this food, it's my go-to. Feels like people who make the food with care. I promise even the gluten-free pizza is good! Just order the pizza of the day. Most pizzas are white, but they have excellent tomato sauce and they will add red sauce to any white pizza if you just ask. I order it about 50% of the time, depending on my mood that day. Highly recommend. Note: guacamole was once best in town, but past 3-6 months it's just average-- now tastes like un-ripe avocados-- so approach that bit with care.
Diamond Pizza Slice, nestled in the heart of the Diamond District, is a standout spot for pizza lovers. They offer a wide variety of pizzas, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Their menu features unique daily specials, alongside a few staples that might require a bit of a wait. Located amusingly next to a Little Caesars, it's clear you should opt for the local flair here instead lol. One of the coolest things about Diamond Pizza Slice is their commitment to the community. They have a community board filled with information and resources, and they're even supporting a project gathering safe materials for children. It's great to see a business that not only thrives in the community but also actively engages with it. The dining experience here is also top-notch. They have a large seating area that stays nice and cool, thanks to their open doors. Whether you're enjoying the street view of traffic and people walking up and down Foothill or watching one of the many TVs on nearly every wall, there's always something to see. I ordered their special pizza topped with fresh brown mushrooms, caramelized yellow onions, baby spinach, mozzarella, and garlic lime zest olive oil. It was absolutely stupendous. Their generosity is unmatched; I ordered a full pizza and was pleasantly surprised to find two extra slices of sample pizza on top. The staff even offered me a complimentary salad, which was a delightful touch. For me, Diamond Pizza Slice is a go-to spot. If I'm not in San Francisco and craving pizza in Oakland, this is where I'm headed. Their excellent food and community spirit make them a must-visit.
While delivering a rescue kitten to its forever home, we were graciously given todays (street corn) pizza. My first impression was it's very similar to Arizmendi but, I think i like this better. The pizza is very fresh and tasty. Plus i love the green sauce on top. Yay! Ive found a new pizza place.
